چکیده

Field experiments were conducted during the Kharif and rabi season of 2021 in farmer’s field Perampattu Village, Tirupattur Taluk & District, TN, India to study effect K S management groundnut. The soil experiment belongs sandy clay loam, available nitrogen (133.4 kg ha-1), phosphorus (16.8 potassium (113.1 sulfur (4.80 mg kg-1), respectively. laid out Randomized Block Design (RBD) with eight treatments viz., T1-Control, T2–RDF (Blanket Recommendation as 25:50:75 NPK T3- RDF + Add 0.25% through MOP (Foliar Application), T4– 0.5% T5– SOP T6– T7– KNO3 T8– Application) replicated thrice. Higher yield groundnut 3103 Kg ha-1 2895 ha-1, respectively, percent increase T4 was 3.9 5.63 over other also maximum gross income, net benefit-cost ratio obtained (T4) applied treatment both seasons. lowest achieved T1.

Persistence and carryover effect of oxyfluorfen residues in red sandy clay loam soil

A Field experiments were conducted for two years at Agricultural Research Station, Bhavanisagar of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India during kharif season of 2010 and 2011 to evaluate the new formulation of oxyfluorfen (23.5% EC) on weed control in onion and their residual effect on succeeding crops. Herbicides are being chemical in nature, excessive and repeated use may pose...

Fate of manure phosphorus in a weathered sandy clay loam soil amended with three animal manures.

Laboratory incubation was conducted for 120 days to study the fate of phosphorus in poultry (PM), cattle (CM) and goat manures (GM). Phosphorus mineralized from manure was dependent on total P, Al and Fe content. Manures improved P availability in the order: PM>CM>GM; however, the highest amount of P was fixed or immobilized between 10 and 70 days of incubating with CM and GM. Fixation and immo...

Bacteriological Quality of Surface and Subsurface Runoff from Manured Sandy Clay Loam Soil

The bacterial quality of surface waters determines their acceptability for both drinking and recreational uses. Since livestock activities have been implicated as sources of fecal contamination, information on the bacterial quality of runoff from manured cropland is required. Bacteriological parameters (total coliform [TC], fecal coliform (FC], and fecal streptococcus [FS]) were monitored in sp...

Nitrogen mineralization potential of three animal manures applied on a sandy clay loam soil.

Understanding the dynamics of N forms applied as manure is germane for appropriate rate and timing of applications of manure. Manure characterization and laboratory incubation were conducted for 120 days to study the mineralization of poultry, cattle and goat manures. Results showed that manure properties differ. Net immobilization of N was recorded for goat and cattle manures while poultry man...

Mobility of zinc and copper in contaminated clay soil influenced by Actinidia deliciosa and incubation times

As a low cost byproduct, Actinidia deliciosa shell can be made into sorbent materials which are used in heavy metals immobilization. It has been investigated as a replacement for currently expensive methods of heavy metal immobilization from soil. In this study, soil samples were contaminated with copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) at the rate of 600 ppm in separate dishes. The 5% Actinidia deliciosa sh...
